Victor Vasarely

Victor Vasarely is widely regarded as the father of Optical Art. He is one of the great masters of 20th century art and many of his paintings are held in the permanent collections of the world's major museums.

During the 1960's and 70's his optical images became part of the popular culture, having a great impact on architecture, computer science and fashion.
Even though he achieved great fame during his lifetime he insisted on making his art accessible to everyone. His motto was "Art for all".
