Chris Orr RA

Chris Orr was born 1943 in Islington, London. After Ravensbourne and Hornsey Schools of Art he graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1967 with a MA in printmaking, and began his career as an Artist, publishing prints,exhibiting his work and teaching part-time at many Art Schools.

He showed for the first time in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 1987. In 1995 Chris Orr was elected a Royal Academician and in 1998 was appointed professor of printmaking at the Royal College of Art. He is a fellow of the Royal college of Art and of the Royal Society of Printmakers.
