Laura Boyd was born in 1959 and attended Watford College of Art 1977-78, thenHarrow School of Art 1978 - 81. She decided to concentrate on etching and achieved early success with work accepted into the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition.
As her worked developed she began selling very successfully, mainly through representatives including some in the USA and South Africa. The etchings are of animals - many of cats in particular- and other nature subjects.
She then decided to develop her painting more - especially since a move to Devon in 1999. She paints mostly flowers - using her beautiful garden for inspiration and reference.
